How to become a tutor
Parents will first register a parent account, when parent’s account is approved, the parents will register their child to be the tutor. After parents register a tutor account for a child, the child will receive an email notification. The child will need to follow the email to complete the registration.
Who can be the tutor?
Any high school students with good academic record can apply to be the tutor.
How do I use the system if I am the student?
When parents register an account for a child to be the student. The child will have a student account. Each time if the students need help in their study, they can login in to their account and post a question. When online tutors received their messages, one tutor will contact this student via chat. They can solve the problem either through online chat, or through zoom meeting.
How do I use the system if I am the tutor?
If you are the tutor in this system, you can login to your tutor account anytime if you have spare time to help other students. After you login your tutor account, from your tutor portal, you can see all questions that are in the system. You can take any question that you would like to help. and then you will be connected to the student who asked question.
Is tutoring volunteering ?
All tutoring activities are volunteering activities. Parents can donate money to Youthtutor to help maintain the system. All tutoring activities will be recorded and accumulated time will account toward to their volunteering time.
Can tutor open a class ?
Yes. All tutors are welcomed to create their own course to teach online.
